Basics of perspective in photography
Perspective is an excellent way used by visual artists to cogitate the distance downwards or upwards of a drawing or photo.
3 Types of perspective
• One point perspective
• Two point perspective
• Three point perspective
1. One point perspective: this is the simplest form of linear perspective among the three types of perspective. When the coverage of the vanishing point is gathered at one point or towards the centre which met the eye level on the horizontal line, its known as one point perspective.
2. Two point perspective: the image in two point perspective is divided into two margins, with each of the margin having their vanishing point respectively, as the image vanishes from the viewer’s eyes. It’s one of the commonly used among the types of perspective.
3. Three point perspective: we see this type of perspective when the vanishing point of an image or a drawing is noticed from the viewer’s eyes when looking down from a high place or vice versa.
Note
Two point perspective emphasises in depth and width of an image, while three point perspective emphasises on height of an image or drawing.
