Mackson Ozuruonye Uchenwa spent over 13years in Lagos before he moved abroad to seek greener pastures. While in Lagos he started his professional job with National Television Authority (NTA10) in 2015/2016 where his duties include:
Research, write, edit, proofread and file news stories, features and articles for programs and news for NTA 10
Worked with the production team to supply field contents
Working as a team member to produce/edit paid ads and contents

In 2017 Mackson Ozuruonye Uchenwa joined the head office of the National Television Authority (NTA2) and was involved in filming, delivering and producing videos and other multimedia material, as well as interviewing, generating story ideas for new contents for airing on the station. He was also part of the team responsible for marketing some of the stations’ programs online and offline for partnership, and advertisements.

While he was in NTA2 he headed the media team at Betex Communications Limited; an advertising and media production house based in Lagos Nigeria with core specialization in advert production and general media services

Later in 2019, He then joined the media team of Kohinoor Lagos, which was at the time one of the most talked about hangout spots on the island in Lagos Nigeria also said to be the benchmark for luxury Lounges, Bars, and Restaurants in Lagos Nigeria where his was responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and monitoring the company’s Social Media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, to improve and increase sales.

O U Mackson didn’t have a rosy background or upbringing as he was born in his little village UTURU which houses Abia State University and bred in Adamawa state by adopters who were educationists.

At about age 5 Mackson Ozuruonye Uchenwa (OU Mackson) was left to the care of the Akosim’s family whose both parents were lectures at the Federal University of Technology, Yola (FUTY) now known as Modibbo Adama Federal University of Technology, Yola (MAUTECH).

Mackson’s Biological mother; Late Mrs. Helen Ibeaja Obiesie and adopted mother; Late Dr. Mrs. Theresa Chinedu Akosim died in 2015 and 2017 respectively however, the Ex. Soldier and Prof. Calistus Akosim are very healthy.

OU MACKSON has also left footprints in the creative writing industry as much as in the video industry. In one of his interviews, he revealed that he has a few books and scripts to his name, like:

Hustle and Bustle of Poverty became the debut novel of the Nigerian author Mackson Uchenwa. Its storyline is pure fiction derived from the daily struggles of a southeastern Nigerian child called Ndubuisi. It is seen as the archetypal modern African novel in English and received an award for best fiction in 2010. It is a staple book to young people and widely read and studied in English-speaking countries around Africa. The book was first published in Nigeria in 2010 by O U Entertainments and became the first work published by the entertainment outfit.
The novel follows the life of Ndubuisi, an Igbo boy. The work is split into three parts, with the first describing his challenges and fears as a child, his setbacks as a teenage boy, his bravery as a young man, and the customs and society of the Igbos, and the second section introduced love in his life, the influence of it on him and changes love brought into his life and the third sections introducing the success stories afterward and marriage to the love of his life.

The title is a no quotation from anywhere but was picked by fans and friends who were part of the book review. The main proofread was done by Dr. Francis Odiniya, who is an international award-winning Poet and novelist. Most of the scenes in the story took place in Eziama, which is in the Achara clan in Uturu, located in the Northern part of the actual city of Umuahia in Abia State Nigeria, on the east bank of the Niger River in Nigeria. The events of the novel depict the culture of the Igbo people from Onuaku Uturu.
