How to style yourself

Styling yourself can be a rewarding and relaxing activity or a daunting experience. It all depends on your attitude and approach. If you ever feel disappointed in styling yourself, pay attention to these details.

1.Try out people’s styles

Replicate the personal styles of people you love and admire by being an anthropologist. Examine rather than judge to borrow vibes and styles.

2.Consider time and season

Make sure you wear the right thing at the right time and season; some clothes are to be worn in winter while some are summer wear.

3.Wear flexible and comfortable clothes

Feeling comfortable in your clothes allows you to enjoy movement without the distraction of feeling squeezed.

A cloth or shoe on the shelf in the shoe store or shop may look fashionable and nice, but they may not be comfortable on you for a long walk.

4.Know your body shape

Your body is fashion’s ultimate accessory and you are your canvas. When you don’t understand your shape, it limits your creativity and highlights insecurities.

-How to know your body shape:

Learning your proportions correctly

Understand how your figure translates certain clothes and styles

When you understand your body shape it will be easy to flatter it.

5.Mix colours

Don’t build your style around bright colour clothes; add neutral colour clothes to your collection too. Neutrals all pair together. They are noncompetitive colours; you’ll have no problem pairing them with any other colour.

6.Discover new brands

Don’t get too comfortable with certain brands. It’s great to have your core favourites who you trust and you know last well, but there are always so many new, amazing brands hitting the market that are waiting to be discovered. From high-end designer labels to more affordable mid-range brands, keep exploring all year round.
