Azeena’s Biography
Zainab Abdullahi better known by her stage name Azeena, is a fast rising singer, songwriter, rapper and model.
The sensational act hails from Mambilla Plateau in Taraba state.
In a place like Northern Nigeria where the traditions of circular/contemporary music is fought by Sharia laws and colonial conquest, Azeena tore her way through to the point where her strongest contender was Di’ja who was signed to Don Jazzy’s Mavin record amongst the dominating male figures in the music industry.
When asked why Di’ja of all the female artistes. In her worlds ‘Well, Di’ja is a friend and big sister, we both come from the north and she’s amazing. Being close to her even in Don’s house made me set my pace and to work even harder.’
Knowing that the 34 million dollars industry according to the research conducted by Statista in Nigeria, has its headquarters in Lagos, Azeena conquered the north and moved up to Lagos where she’s shared stage with prominent stars like: D’banj, 2face, Tiwa Savage, Bella Shmurda, and so many others. She has also performed at Felabration, Afrimma and many Industry nites in Lagos.

In the course of this interview when she was asked how she got this far, she attributed it to passion for entertainment and herself for believing in herself and not quitting when a few failures and disappointed came to test her. she as well gave credit to her fans and few close friends who stood by her through thick and thin.

There is no much of clearity on her age, as the singer always shy away from confirming her age, however, we are sure she was born on the 29th of December, in Navy town Ojo Lagos to a Muslim family and should be around 23-26 years old, that’s going by the statistics of her educational background.
After her secondary school in Taraba, she proceeded to Kaduna polytechnic, Kaduna where she studied Quantity Survey and emerged with a 2.99.
Azeena’s powerful voice has made her stand out in the industry so far. It might also interest you that she has a unique sound she calls Afro-engausa which consists of Afrobeat,Rnb,Afro-Edm,House music,Trap, hip hop,Reggae.

When asked who she admires in the industry she mentioned: Tiwa Savage, Chronixx, Wizkid, BurnaBoy, Billie Eillish, Erykah Badu,Morgan Wallen and Dan Maraya Jos amongst many others.
